Cops In Brooklyn Arrest Man, Recover Two Guns

“NYPD officers are out on the streets every day continuing to keep New Yorkers safe,” said Sergeant Diab of the 77 Precinct. “The dedication of the men and women I work with is second to none.”

Officers from the 77 Precinct in Brooklyn arrested a man in possession of two firearms after he allegedly threatened an individual early Wednesday morning. The officers responded to a 911 call for dispute between two individuals in an apartment building on Pacific Street in Crown Heights.
When the officers arrived on the scene they were informed by the victim that a man had threatened her with a handgun and was still in the residence. As the officers proceeded to search the residence they observed a man in possession of a firearm and quickly called for additional units to respond.  As the officers began to secure the area that the man was occupying, he approached the officers and was placed under arrest without incident.
Further investigation and witnesses led the officers to find two illegal loaded firearms and marijuana hidden in the kitchen area where the man was seen. The 36-year-old man was charged with criminal possession of a weapon, menacing, unlawful possession of marijuana and criminal use of drug paraphernalia (scales).
